How Everything Works

Step 1: Paint Evaluation

We start by checking your car's paint to create a safe plan, so we never risk its integrity for a quick shine.

Step 2: Deep Decontamination

A normal car wash leaves behind a gritty layer of embedded brake dust and road tar. We use special chemicals and clay bar to create a pure, clean surface so the ceramic coating can bond peroply.

Step 3: Machine Polishing

To carefully remove the fine scratches and swirls that make your paint look dull. We enhance the gloss and clarity of the finish before we protect it.

Step 4: Ceramic Coating Application

As accredited specialists, we apply a professional-grade ceramic treatment that chemically fuses with the paint. It doesn't just sit on top like wax. It becomes a hard, protective shield.

Step 5: Collection & Aftercare

We finish with a full walkaround, showing you exactly what's been done, followed by a simple aftercare briefing so your ceramic coating stays performing at its best.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a ceramic coating in simple words?

Think about it as a sunscreen for your car. It forms a hard layer over your paint that repels water and dirt, making your car much easier to clean and locking in that shine for years.

What's the difference between a ceramic coating and wax?

Wax is a temporary layer that sits on top of your paint and lasts only weeks. A ceramic coating chemically bonds with your paint, creating a hard, durable shield that offers years of superior protection against UV rays, chemicals, and environmental contaminants.

How long does a professional ceramic coating actually last?

With proper care, a professional ceramic coating can last for many years. As accredited Magnum applicators, our work is backed by their manufacturer warranty. We’ll give you all the aftercare advice to maximise the coating’s lifespan and ensure it performs perfectly.

Will this make my vehicle scratch-proof?

No. A ceramic coating resists light swirls (mainly caused by contact washing) and chemical stains (bird droppings & tree-sap), but it is not scratch-proof armour. It will not stop deep scratches from keys or rock chips. Think of it as a strong, sacrificial layer that protects your paint and makes it easy to clean.

Do I need to clean my car before bringing it in?

Nope, not at all. Just bring the car to us as it is. We handle the entire preparation process, from the initial deep clean and decontamination to the final protective layer. All you need to do is enjoy the final result.

What does the warranty actually cover?

The manufacturer’s warranty covers specific coating failures such as low signs of water beading and sheeting under normal conditions. It does not cover damage from impacts, deep scratches, or improper washing techniques. We’ll provide all aftercare information to ensure your warranty remains valid.

How will I know the coating is still working?

The most obvious sign is the incredible water beading. Water should form tight, round beads that roll right off the surface. As the coating ages over many years, you may notice this effect diminish, which indicates it might be time for a maintenance top-up.

What kind of aftercare and maintenance is required?

Maintenance is simple. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes. We recommend a gentle two-bucket hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo every few weeks. Because the surface is so slick, dirt comes off with a simple rinse down. Just remember to dry the surface with a high quality drying towel to prevent water marks from staining the paint.

My car is brand new. Does it really need paint correction?

Yes, almost every new car has fine swirls from transport and dealership handling. Applying a coating over these defects seals them in. We perform a light polish to create a truly perfect surface before we lock in the protection, ensuring a flawless result.

This all started with a bad experience — mine.

I took my own car to a big-name detailing company for ceramic coating and got poor communication, vague answers, and a result that didn't hold up.

So I started my own studio to do it properly: no shortcuts, no upselling, and no leaving clients in the dark.

Today we specialise in ceramic coatings for new vehicles — EVs and hybrids in particular. It's the shop I wish had existed when I got my own car done.
